We are a rapidly growing US manufacturer of custom products. We specialize in manufacturing and integrating enclosures for the storage and protection of IT equipment. We are seeking a motivated mechanical engineer to join our team. As an Mechanical Engineer at our company, you will design and develop functional and manufacturable products and solutions to meet our customer's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D models and drawings for metal enclosures and sheet metal components utilizing Autodesk Inventor software.
- Work with inside sales, technical support, and product development to design products and solutions to meet customer needs and expectations.
- Work with manufacturing and other vendors to provide accurate models and drawings accommodating for manufacturing capabilities.
- Work with marketing and other teams to create and develop instructions and other support documentation for standard and custom products.
- Identify, report, and assist in the resolution of manufacturing challenges.
- Problem solve and in some instances direct and assist in hands on resolutions to physical product and projects
Qualifications:
- 2 year associates degree or equivalent work experience
- 3D Modeling experience, Inventor Preferred
- 3 - 5 years SHEET METAL engineering experience
- Demonstrated communication skills
- Ability to design for manufacture using laser, punch press, press brake, welding and powder coating operations.
