We are currently seeking a HANDS-ON, production floor comfortable, Manufacturing and Process Engineer to join our team in a role that will focus on optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality production standards.

Your goal will be to identify opportunities for, and driving continuous improvement initiatives from the ground production floor and up, by implementing best practices in our manufacturing operations while maintaining or improving product quality.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Implement and promote continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Design and optimize manufacturing workflows, ensuring the best use of resources and materials.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
Conduct process mapping and analysis to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
Lead Kaizen events and other improvement activities to foster a culture of continuous enhancement.
Utilize data analysis tools like SPC (Statistical Process Control) to monitor and control process performance.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring alignment with production goals.
Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects related to equipment upgrades and installations.
Provide technical support in plastic manufacturing processes and technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in manufacturing and process engineering roles, preferably in plastic manufacturing.
Strong knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience with CAD software and SolidWorks for designing manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with 3D printing technologies and applications in manufacturing.
Mechanical proficiency with a solid understanding of material handling and conveyor systems.
Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead projects from inception to completion.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision making.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, capable of working collaboratively across departments.
